Your data, clearly explained

Privacy Policy

Palette Studio Pro processes images locally on your iPhone. This policy explains what the app stores, how extensions and purchases work, and what leaves your device only when you choose.

Effective July 26, 2026 · Palette Studio Pro 1.0

Overview

Palette Studio Pro does not require an account. Version 1.0 contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDK, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not upload your photos to a Palette-operated server.

Photos, camera, files, and clipboard

Images you explicitly choose through Photos, Camera, Files, the clipboard, or the system share sheet are used to extract colors and create exports. Image analysis runs on your device.

When you choose a photo, iOS provides that selected item to Palette Studio Pro. Camera access is used only when you open the in-app camera. Clipboard image content is read only after you choose Paste.

Saved palettes and source images

Palette names, colors, tags, favorites, semantic roles, dates, and library state are stored locally in the app’s SwiftData database. Depending on your Source Image setting, a full image, a thumbnail, or no source image may be kept with a saved palette.

Backup files are created only when you choose Export Backup. You choose where those files are saved or shared.

Widgets and Share Extension

The Share Extension temporarily writes the image you explicitly share to the app’s private App Group container so the main app can open it. Temporary imports are removed after use.

Widgets receive compact snapshots containing saved palette names, color values, favorites, and update dates. Source photos are not included.

Purchases and subscriptions

Apple processes Palette Pro purchases and subscriptions. The app receives product, transaction, and entitlement information from StoreKit to unlock features. It does not receive your payment-card details.

Diagnostics

A diagnostics file is created only when you choose Export Diagnostics. It may include app version, device model, operating-system version, purchase state, and troubleshooting preferences. It excludes images, filenames, colors, tags, clipboard content, and exports.

Data collection and sale

Palette Studio Pro 1.0 does not collect, sell, rent, or use your personal data for advertising. The app’s privacy manifest declares no collected data types and no tracking.

Your control and deletion

You can delete individual palettes, restore or permanently remove items in Recently Deleted, or use Delete All Palette Data in Settings. Removing the app deletes its app-controlled local data, subject to Apple’s normal backup and restoration behavior.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app’s behavior changes. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are published.
